Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assembler A to join Eaton's manufacturing team in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will assemble mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top-level assemblies for aerospace and commercial customers, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical assembly experience, can interpret blueprints, and is proficient with a variety of hand tools in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top-level assemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
Perform assembly work on products supporting aerospace customers including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Gulfstream, and Cessna.
Perform occasional electrical assembly and soldering tasks as required.
Install lock wire/safety wire and nameplates following industry standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and written work instructions.
Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
Operate hand and bench tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, vises, arbor presses, soldering irons, and lockwire pliers.
Prepare materials by lapping surfaces using approved tooling techniques and compounds.
Conduct visual inspections, identify defects, and report non-conforming materials.
Ensure all tools and equipment are calibrated prior to use.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.
Cross-train in other production areas and support additional manufacturing activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of manufacturing assembly experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
Experience using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of aerospace assembly experience.
Experience working in an FAA-regulated manufacturing environment.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Certification.
Experience with mechanical and basic electrical assembly, including soldering.
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
