Responsibilities:
Create Individualized educational and therapeutic goals for each resident, identifying their strengths and weaknesses.
Establish a collaborative approach by defining the roles and responsibilities of all parties involved-residents, teachers, and staff.
Work directly with the resident to review and update goals and plans as needed.
Develop specific action plans that outline goals, expectations, and timelines, and share these plans with residents, teachers, and staff.
Act as a liaison between the resident, their school, and the STRTP, ensuring open communication and alignment.
Help residents build key academic and life skills, assist with homework, review class assignments, and support their study efforts.
Document progress and adjust goals as necessary to ensure long-term success.
Work closely with the youth until they succeed in meeting their goals, providing consistent support and encouragement.
Qualifications:
Experience in a STRTP setting or 12 college units in Child Development, Psychology, or a Human Services-related field or a BA degree in a Human Services-related field.
Must be 21 years or older.
Valid California Drivers License with a good driving record.
Must meet title 22 personal requirements, including fingerprinting and child abuse clearance.
Good physical and emotional condition.
