Schedules and conducts training, working with Human Resources and management staff to limit impact on business operations. Must become certified as IPC Trainer within 6 months of starting in this role. Primary schedule will be on day shift M-F, but will require coverage at times to support off shift training needs.Responsibilities:Assist in working with department managers and supervisors to determine the training needs of each department; Schedule training, certifications and re-certifications to meet needsDeliver training for new hire orientation, safety and component identification and other courses as appropriateDeliver training in technical and non-technical subjects, coordinating with outside suppliers when appropriateAssist in the periodic review of BEI policies and procedures to ensure training needs are satisfiedMaintain training logs, records and other training documents and make them available to employees, supervisors, managers and auditors as neededMaintain training materials as neededRespond to new training requirements from ISO, OSHA and BEI in collaboration with manufacturing and quality managementMeet and communicate with managers, employees, vendors and other BEI trainersMay serve as member or monitor activities of various company committeesMaintain positive and professional relationships with all internal and external team members and customersLearn, advocate and comply with Benchmark Electronics quality management system and proceduresMaintain a clean, safe work environment; follow all company safety and environmental policies and practicesOther information:Entry level; 2 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management; 0-2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective interpersonal skillsEffective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as requiredEffective organization and prioritization skillsDemonstrated high attention to detailAbility to work with and train diverse groupsDemonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgement and professionalismAbility to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgementUnderstanding and ability to use continuous improvement tools.Strong customer service and client focusWorking knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
