Compliance Specialist Position location is flexible and may office from a branch in Winona, MN or Denton, TX Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW Working as Full-time Compliance Specialist, you will play a key role in connecting Fastenal's Procurement, Supply Chain, Product & Supplier Development, Customers, EHS, Operations and Sales Teams. Your main responsibility will be supporting all supplier compliance needs relative to regulatory, industry and/or customer demands globally, but with a strong focus in the United States. At Fastenal, you will be providing first level support to the Supply Chain, Supplier Development and Operations teams ensuring compliant suppliers enter our ecosystem of approved suppliers. Some key areas supported by this team include but are not limited to: Supplier Onboarding Process, Certificate of Insurance validation, vetting of suppliers and aligned with our Quality department needs. RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Using third party systems to analyze and review suppliers for a risk profile along legal, ethical, quality and financial boundaries o Ensuring the capturing of all required supplier information for proper set up o Collecting and preparing quality document submissions to meet our ISO standards o Collaborating with other departments and teams globally, such as legal, product, quality, operations, supply chain, etc., to ensure compliance and regulatory alignment across the organization o Generating periodic and ad hoc reports o Reaching out to suppliers for data and support as it pertains to executing needed regulatory changes o Supporting interdepartmental correspondence o Enforcing company policy with regards to supply chain compliance o Handling the daily volume of branch demands on all supplier compliance topics via ServiceNow, Ask Blue, email and phone calls REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS The following skills and qualifications are required for this position o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (V-lookups and basic formatting) o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) ABOUT US Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers. COMPENSATION The base pay range for this position is $45,000 - 62,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
