Overview In this role you will lead the development, verification, and delivery of embedded software for bio wearable devices, ensuring FDA-compliant design controls. You will provide technical leadership, mentor project teams, and collaborate across functions to drive high-quality software from concept to support. The position focuses on solving complex technical issues, owning C-based software components, and advancing cross-functional product development in a healthcare setting. ResponsibilitiesLead software development, verification, and validation for embedded bio wearable products with on-time deliveryImplement and ensure adherence to FDA-compliant design control proceduresProvide technical leadership and mentoring for embedded software projectsOwn technical aspects of C-based software productsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and consultants on product developmentInteract with QA engineers to ensure software qualityUtilize tools and techniques to improve productivity and code qualityLead technical teams and develop cross-functional networksAdjust priorities to meet project objectives Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering Mathematics, or related field with 10+ years of experience (or Master’s with 7+ years, or PhD with 2+ years)Good knowledge of software engineering principlesProgramming experience in CExperience with structured software development and/or Object Modeling DesignExperience with embedded systems for safety-critical productsStrong debugging techniques in embedded environmentsKnowledge of device driver and low-level interface designExperience with model-based design (UML or SysML) is highly desirableExperience with medical device development processes and FDA 510K and PMA regulatory requirementsGood knowledge of RF and BLE software design, device driver configuration, and tests (preferred)Preferred team leadership and mentorship capabilitiesExperience with Source Control Management (preferred)Experience with testing embedded devices (strong plus)Excellent written and verbal communicationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsMentorship and leadership capabilitiesC programmingEmbedded systems for safety-critical productsFDA design controls
