Office days must include Thursday)Rates : DOEContract length: 6 months with continuous extensions.Technical Business Analyst Notes from ManagerLooking for a resource who can coordinate data management Gathering and documenting business and technical requirements for data-related projects.Preparing data lineage documentation (using tools like Visio).Writing SQL queries (simple-level, not development).Working across multiple data-focused projects (architecture, governance, strategy).Agile project managementSQL is criticalNeed to be able to describe their experience with specific examples on the more complex projects they have worked on - they will need to be able to verbalize this in the interviewThis role isn''t for a specific project - they need to be able to multi task with other business units.Business Analyst is most of the work. Sometimes will be asked to help out another team if they need help on data issues.Data lineage documents - tools for this include Viso Today, which is what they use. SQL simple queries. No development work. Requirements:4+ years of technical BA experience in Agile environments.SQL experience (basic queries).Must articulate their experience and role in complex projects clearly.Environment:Projects include MDM evaluation and ODS database review.Cloud experience is a plus (especially AWS, Azure, Snowflake, MongoDB).Oracle and SQL Server are primary databases.Interview Process:1st round: 30-min WebEx.2nd round: 1-hour in-person. Candidate Vetting:Previous rejections were due to candidates being unable to speak to their experience or walking through project responsibilities.Interviewers now use scenario-based questions to verify hands-on experience.External help during interviews was a problem previously.Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities of the Technical Business Analyst include overall coordination and follow up of requirements gathering for Data Management related projects, writing Business Requirements as needed for Agile projects, along with assisting in writing Technical Design and Data Lineage Documents. This candidate will also be responsible for tracking the progress of projects and related tasks, which will include tracking follow-ups from meetings and scrums, assessing the status of related JIRA tasks and coordinating planned releases.ResponsibilitiesLiaison between business users and technical teamSchedule business requirements sessions, document meeting minutes and track follow-upsWrite Business Requirement DocumentsAssist with Technical Design and Data Lineage DocumentsEnsure Technical Design addresses the Business RequirementsEffectively track the progress across projects and ensure business requirements are being followedCoordinate planned releases and send out release announcementsAssist in creating, tracking and following up on JIRA ticketsConduct Stakeholder Interviews and facilitate meetings for requirements elicitationAbility to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced agile environment managing multiple priorities Qualifications4+ years working as a Technical BA4+ years working on Agile projects2-4+ years of SQL experience (Oracle and SQL Server, MongoDB a plus)4+ years of Data Analysis/Trouble shooting4+ years writing Business Requirement, Technical Design and Data Lineage DocumentsAbility to interpret business requirements into technical requirementsStrong Meeting FacilitatorMust be able to multi-task effectivelyGreat organizational skillsExcellent communication skills
