Dot Net Developer
To meet the qualifications for the Web Applications Programmer role with the Department, candidates must have the following minimum qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in developing Microsoft ASP.NET web applications.
Hands-on experience with:
Technologies: C#.Net, MVC, ASP.NET 4.XX, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Web services, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks.
Azure: Familiarity with Azure services and application development on Azure.
.NET Core: Experience with Dot Net Core application development.
SQL Server: Proficiency in creating and writing stored procedures, working with batch processing, data loading, and SQL Server Reporting Services 2017 and above.
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Technical and Software Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint).
Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
Experience testing custom applications, reports, large datasets, or dashboards.
Ability to produce technical documentation, including requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, designs, and testing documentation.
Project and Team Collaboration:
Experience working with development teams on large enterprise projects.
Ability to communicate project progress and information effectively to team members, sponsors, stakeholders, and legislative bodies.
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:
Assisting in the development of project specifications, planning, and management.
Providing weekly status updates to leadership and preparing monthly written reports detailing accomplishments, concerns, and solutions.
Ensuring adherence to technical direction and standards and documenting essential project components (e.g., project plans, budgets, risk and communication plans).
Managing change control within projects, obtaining sponsor approval for changes affecting scope, budget, and critical paths.
Documenting and verifying testing modifications to confirm that objectives are achieved.
