The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, general ledger, and accounting operations. This role supports financial decision-making and maintains accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP. You’ll be a trusted advisor to executive leadership while ensuring accurate reporting, effective controls, and financial strength to support our mission.  You’ll Enjoy: The opportunity to join the team an I9-team member which includes: Competitive pay commensurate with experience Medical, dental, and vision coverage 14+ days paid time off (PTO) 8 paid holidays + birthdays off 401(K) Short and long-term disability $140 monthly wellness stipend (massage, gym, childcare, etc) Tuition and exam reimbursements Parental and bereavement leave Access to counseling services and resources for financial wellbeing  What You’ll Do:  Lead Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.  Financial Close & Reporting: Manage month-end and year-end close, prepare consolidated reports, and deliver timely insights to leadership.  Corporate Filings & Licensure: Manage state filings, business license requirements, and corporate registrations, ensuring timely renewals, regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, and accurate recordkeeping. Compliance & Tax: Ensure GAAP compliance and oversee multi-state payroll tax filings as needed. Accounts Payable: Own the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, payments, and vendor reconciliation.  Payroll: Oversee and manage all payroll functions, including accurate and timely processing, compliance with federal/state regulations, payroll tax filings, reconciliations, reporting, and continuous process improvement. Cash Management: Prepare weekly cash flow reports to ensure liquidity and address issues proactively.  Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and financial systems.  Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with finance, billing, and clinical teams to ensure accurate financial processes and alignment with organizational goals. Process Improvement: Identify efficiencies, implement new tools, and enhance workflows to scale with company growth.   What We’re Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field  5+years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity  Strong technical accounting expertise and knowledge of GAAP and multi-state compliance requirements  Experience in healthcare, professional services, or growth-oriented companies a plus  Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills  Proven ability to collaborate across teams, implement process improvements, and manage cross-functional relationships Experience with QBO and Ramp a plus++
