Project Controls Specialist

Job Title: Project Controls SpecialistJob DescriptionThe Staff Project Controls Specialist is responsible for leading project controls processes and supporting the internal project management team to execute project deliverables within budget and schedule.Responsibilities+ Ensure proper set-up in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.+ Analyze data, review logs, and run reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.+ Create and manage the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).+ Develop, implement, and maintain scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts for multiple projects.+ Follow and support project execution plans.+ Responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control.+ Serve as a point of contact for technical questions from the project team.+ Approve Purchase Orders and document changes to cost reports or forecasts.+ Interface with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to review project costs and contingency costs and support external audits.+ Review upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order & subcontract) change orders.+ Develop and present cash flow reports.+ Create various levels of schedules and apply logic ties within the schedules.+ Monitor resource loading of schedules.+ Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).+ Create schedule reports and determine appropriate reporting formats.+ Develop, review, and analyze pre-programmed project scheduling reports and back-up documentation for accuracy.+ Consult with the project team on schedule progress.+ Analyze and evaluate schedule management using critical path method scheduling techniques, estimating, project cost management, and forecasting.+ Perform schedule what-if scenarios.+ Develop and maintain an earned value management system.+ Input and validate progress measurement.+ Develop and maintain progress curves.+ Perform material takeoffs.+ Perform quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.+ Conduct field audits to validate the accuracy of reporting and processes.+ Assist with Project Forensic Analysis.+ Perform other duties as assigned.+ Comply with all policies and standards.Essential Skills+ Document control+ Cost control+ Project control+ Primavera P6+ Project Scheduling+ Construction+ Cost analysis+ Quality control+ Inventory control+ Project management+ Data entry+ Project coordinationAdditional Skills & Qualifications+ Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field OR applicable experience may substitute degree requirement+ 3+ years of direct project controls experience+ Ability to obtain OSHA-10 certification+ Located in Lexington, KY+ Primavera P6 experience preferredWork EnvironmentThe work environment is a consulting, professional engineering firm setting with a business casual dress code.
