Position: NAVSEA WelderLocation: Hollywood, SCLength: Full timeRate: $18-$22/hr(Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education)JOB DESCRIPTIONJoins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE-Minimum of 4 years welding experience-Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T- Working knowledge of the metric system- Acceptable background testMUST HAVE:- Flux-core welding experience- Pulse-core welding experience- MIG, TIG, STICK, Welding experience- Ability to read very complex blueprints- structural or NAVSEA experience
