Converting Set-up Operator

General Position Scope: This position is responsible for set up and operating Converting machines and associated equipment to safely produce high-quality converting products/bags. Position will include competitive salary, bonus opportunities, full benefits package, and 401k. Job Responsibilities: Set up and run production machines Follow simple work instructions, job requirements of product BOM Put materials into machines Take finished products off machines Measure products with a tape measure Check that products look correct Maintain a clean and safe work area Follow the chain of commands to communicate all concerns (safety, quality, production and HR issues) immediately and effectively. Participate in department activities to continually improve safety, product quality, cost, and delivery. Submit ideas for continuous improvement for safety, product quality, work area improvements, cost, and delivery. Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Excellent Attendance and Punctuality. Willing to learn Able to follow directions Basic math skills (counting and measuring) Can stand and move during your shift Works well with others Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation Education and Experience Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements: Lifting/Carrying (minimum of 50 lbs.) Standing/Walking for long periods (up to 12 hours)
