Job DescriptionGiro Pack, Inc. is seeking a reliable Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the optimal functioning of all equipment and machines at our Vidalia, GA. facility.The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic's responsibilities include the inspection, maintaining and repairing of industrial equipment and machinery in a safe & timely manner. Applicants must be well-rounded individuals who can perform efficient work on a variety of equipment, executing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance.Initial training will be conducted during day shift, however once completed the candidate will be placed on 2nd (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) or 3rd shift (10:00 pm - 6:00 am).The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic plays an integral part in supporting Giro Pack, Inc. in the manufacturing and distribution of packaging for the fruit and vegetable sector.Industrial Maintenance Mechanic job duties include:Adjust and calibrate machinery and equipmentClean and lubricate machinery or equipmentDetect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic testsDisassemble equipment and machinery when there is a problemMove equipment and machineryPerform tests to make sure that machines are running smoothlyRead technical manuals to understand controls and equipmentRepair or replace malfunctioning or broken componentsTest malfunctioning machinery to determine the need for major repairsAssess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specificationsMaintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical readingMaintain inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing ordersMaintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulationsRequirements and skills:Minimum two years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience requiredMust hold a certificate or diploma in a related fieldAbility to operate machinery and technical equipmentIn-depth knowledge of system maintenanceAbility to lift and move heavy equipmentCommunication and teamwork skillsFamiliarity with safety standards and regulationsAbility to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance on a regular basisSelf motivated, responsible and safety oriented individualProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical and electrical printsMust have a flexible scheduleJob Type: Full-timePay: $23.00 per hourBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurancePaid time offSchedule:M-F 8 hour shiftHolidaysOvertimeAbility to commute/relocateVidalia, GA 30474: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Shift availability:Day shift (Required)Night/Overnight (Required)Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $23.00 per hourWork setting:In-personWork Location: In person
