Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Turtle Lake, ND Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,056 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/29/2026 About the PositionTravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Turtle Lake, North Dakota, 58575!Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room/MedSurg/Swing Bed Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Understanding of dementia, stroke, and skin care for geriatric patient care Description: Department includes Emergency Room, MedSurg, and Swing Bed. Critical Access facility with a Rural location. Unit has 25 beds. Previous travel experience is not required. EMR system used is EPIC. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:8, utilizing team nursing. Common diagnoses include dementia, dependent older adults, diabetes, rehab care post-acute illness, IV medication administration, fluid and blood administration, COVID, wound care, trauma patient care in the ER, and exacerbation of chronic illnesses in the geriatric population. RNs are required to titrate drips including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions. Each shift has a Charge Nurse who takes a team assignment, not individual assignments. Nurse Aides/CNAs are present on each shift. Patient managed CPAP is the only respiratory equipment used by RNs. RNs must read and interpret their own telemetry strips. Shifts are 12 hours long, running from 0645-1915 and 1845-0715. Team scheduling is utilized, with block scheduling possible upon request. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Holiday requirement is alternating or as scheduled, usually every other holiday. There is no call or standby requirement. Floating requirements include ER and Medsurg support. Scrubs are provided with no specific color requirement. Unit-specific orientation consists of 3 shifts. The radius rule is 50 miles for candidates being considered. Requests for time off should be submitted upfront; additional requests will not be approved. Cancellation policy allows for 4 shifts per contract; 3 shifts for contracts under 13 weeks. Charting system is EPIC. BSN is not required for submission. Traffic Level is critical care. Care setting is acute. Division is nursing. Weekend and holiday scheduling is typically every other.
