CAD Design Engineer

Role: CAD Design Engineer – Softgoods & ToolingLocation: Denver, CO (Onsite – 5 days/week) Pay Range: $70–$72/hr Description: Support machine setup and configuration based on tooling and CAD inputs Tune machines for different material types, thicknesses, and construction methods Execute prototype builds with tooling engineers and prototype assemblers Troubleshoot machine-related issues impacting build quality and cycle time Support scaling from early prototypes to pre-factory readiness phases Provide feedback on manufacturability and process optimization Work with softgoods materials including textiles, silicone, leather, synthetics, and adhesives Perform cut & sew operations including stitch types, seams, thread selection, and tension calibration Support bonding, die cutting, lamination, heat forming, and finishing processes Read and interpret engineering drawings, patterns, and build instructions Experience with surface finishing, embellishment printing, fabric manipulation, and microfiber handling Strong experience with AutoCAD and manufacturing engineering supportIf you’re open to exploring new opportunities or currently in the job market, I’d be happy to connect.
