Special Education Dyslexia/ELAR Teacher
Provide direct instruction and intervention services to students identified with dyslexia and related disorders while supporting core English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) development. The teacher will implement a state-approved dyslexia program aligned with the Texas Education Agency Dyslexia Handbook, collaborate with campus staff, and monitor student progress to ensure academic growth and compliance with state and federal requirements.QualificationsEducation/CertificationBachelor's degree from an accredited universityValid Texas teaching certificate in:Core Subjects EC-6, OREnglish Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) 4-8 / 7-12Special Education (EC-12)Dyslexia certification or training (e.g., CALT, Certified Academic Language Therapist, or district-approved dyslexia training)Preferred:ESL certificationReading Specialist certification
