Doctor of Medicine | Surgery - Cardiothoracic Location: Paducah, KY Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position A hospital-based program in Paducah is seeking a Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician to provide 24-hour coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-supported surgical environment with a focused cardiac and thoracic case mix. Position Details Shift Type: 24-hour coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) Practice Setting: Hospital-based Average Cases Per Day: 1–2 Annual ER Volume: 30,000 Operating Rooms: 1 Dedicated Heart OR 1 Hybrid OR EMR: EPIC Responsibilities & Duties Perform Adult Cardiac Surgery (required) Provide General Thoracic Surgery services (preferred) Manage a variety of cardiothoracic procedures, including: CABG and Off-Pump CABG Arterial revascularization (IMA, radial artery, gastroepiploic artery) Redo coronary revascularization (with/without valve surgery) Heart valve repair and replacement (including mitral valve repair) Thoracic aortic aneurysm repair (open) Tube thoracostomy and pericardial window Tracheostomy Flexible and rigid bronchoscopy Thoracotomy lung biopsy, resections, and pneumonectomy Thoracotomy decortication Mediastinal surgery, mediastinotomy, and biopsy Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Provide perioperative patient management and documentation in EMR Requirements Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (Required) BLS Certification (Required) Kentucky Medical License (Preferred; willing to consider candidates needing licensure)
