Position Title: Calibration Technician I
Work Location: Plano, TX, 75023
Assignment Duration: 6+ Months
Work Schedule: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary:
Responsible for performing calibration functions on testing and measurement equipment across Manufacturing and Research operations.
Ensures accuracy of measurement and process equipment to support product quality, Quality System Requirements (QSR), ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing precise calibrations per written and automated procedures on measuring and testing equipment, tools, gauges, and fixtures according to the calibration schedule
Coordinates calibration with certified external vendors when equipment cannot be maintained internally
Maintains accurate and compliant calibration records to support audits, trend analysis, and internal/external regulations
Routine setup, testing, inspection, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of equipment and systems
Collects, organizes, measures, records, and documents calibration data
Provides inputs to engineering, qualification, and validation activities
Assists with reports and may support procedure writing and lab documentation
Works under established procedures with limited judgment
Organizes daily tasks to meet scheduled assignments
Communicates effectively with cross functional teams and internal customers
Qualification & Experience:
0-3 years of related technical or calibration experience
Equipment calibration and testing
Measurement tools, gauges, fixtures, and instruments
Quality Systems (QSR), ISO standards
Technical documentation and recordkeeping
Basic troubleshooting and data analysis
Understanding of manufacturing and/or R&D environments
Use of basic computer software and numerical/statistical data
Time management and task prioritization
Clear written and verbal communication
Preferred Experience:
Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
Exposure to quality system environments subject to government regulations
Familiarity with engineering, validation, or qualifications support activities
Experience coordinating with external calibration vendors
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate Degree or some college coursework preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
