Strategic Plan Project ManagerThe Strategic Plan Project Manager will support the implementation of the medical school's strategic plan by providing end-to-end project management of the plan and targeted support for priority initiatives. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring a portfolio of strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with institutional goals, timelines, and resources.The Project Manager will work closely with faculty, administrative leaders, and cross-functional teams to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, ensuring effective execution and measurable outcomes.Position ResponsibilitiesStrategic Plan Implementation & Portfolio ManagementSupports the operationalization of the medical school's strategic plan by translating strategic priorities into defined projects, milestones, and deliverablesManages a portfolio of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and tracking progress across initiativesDevelops and maintains portfolio- and initiative-level dashboards, reports, and performance metricsProject Management (Full Lifecycle)Leads projects from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout in accordance with project management best practicesDevelops comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocationDefines project objectives, deliverables, success metrics, and governance structuresEnsures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetSupport for Strategic InitiativesProvides hands-on project management support for selected high-priority initiativesAssists initiative leads with planning, coordination, and execution of project activitiesFacilitates cross-functional collaboration among faculty, clinicians, administrators, and external partnersStakeholder Engagement & CommunicationServes as a central point of coordination across stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignmentDevelops and delivers regular status reports, executive briefings, and presentationsSets up planning team meetings, and steering committee meetings and plans retreatsManages stakeholder expectations and escalates risks or issues as neededProcess Improvement & Change ManagementIdentifies and supports implementation of opportunities for continuous quality improvement across projects and processesPromotes standard project management methodologies and toolsSupports change management efforts to facilitate adoption of strategic initiativesMonitoring, Metrics, Documentation & ReportingMaintains comprehensive project documentation, including charters, plans, and status reportsMaintains, monitors and reports on key performance indicators and outcomes tracked via dashboards, scorecards and tracking tools at both overall strategic plan and individual initiative levelsPrepares regular progress reports, briefings and summaries for senior leadership, governance bodies, and accreditation-relevant audiencesQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree required; Master's degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, or related field preferred5+ years of project management experience, preferably in academic medicine, health care or higher educationExperience managing complex, cross-functional projects and multiple stakeholdersCertifications (Preferred)Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification (PMI)Change management certification is a plusSalary RangeUSD $125,000.00/Yr.
