As a member of the Portfolio Valuation team, you will work on cutting-edge projects, leveraging disruptive technologies to help leading asset managers bring clarity to complex valuation matters. As part of one of the largest and fastest-growing independent valuation practices in the country, you will support client engagements across a wide range of industries, asset classes, and geographies.As an Associate, you will play a key role in executing valuation analyses, including investigating investment operating performance and strategic positioning, conducting company and sector research, and supporting senior members of our global team in delivering best-in-class client work.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of industry-standard data resources and analytical tools, while also engaging closely with Stout’s proprietary technologies and AI—not only as a user, but as a contributor helping shape the analytics of the future.What You’ll DoAct as a key member of engagement teams, executing valuation assignments across a wide variety of industries and asset classes, including venture capital, growth equity, private debt, private equity portfolios, and other complex securitiesLeverage data resources, AI, and Stout’s proprietary technology platform to conduct company, industry, and market research that informs valuation analysesAnalyze financial statements, accounting records, and other data to identify key operating, competitive, and strategic insightsBuild and maintain financial models using accepted valuation methodologies, advanced technologies, and innovative datasetsParticipate in client callsAssist in preparing written reports, presentations, and supporting exhibitsCollaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate deliverablesManage multiple workstreams while meeting deadlines and quality expectationsWhat You Bring2–5 years of experience in valuation, transaction advisory, investment analysis, or related fields (private equity, private credit, or asset-based finance preferred)Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or another quantitative fieldFoundational understanding of financial modeling and valuation methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailA technology-forward mindset, with a willingness to learn and adopt new tools (e.g., AI, Python, Tableau, Power BI), alongside proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPointA strong commitment to delivering high levels of client serviceEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProgress toward a professional designation (CFA, ASA, CPA, CEIV) is a plusHow You’ll ThriveContribute to a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on client serviceDemonstrate reliability and accountability by consistently producing high-quality workBuild and deepen technical and industry knowledge through hands-on experienceStrengthen communication skills through client and team interactionApproach challenges with curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset, embracing change and contributing ideas to the broader teamWhy Stout?At Stout, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards program with competitive compensation, benefits, and wellness options tailored to support employees at every stage of life.We foster a culture of inclusion and respect, embracing diverse perspectives and experiences to drive innovation and success. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.A reasonable estimate of the current range is $74,000.00 - $135,000.00 Annual.
