This is not a facility-based HR role — this position serves as a strategic operational partner across multiple skilled nursing and senior living communities, helping drive workforce performance, compliance, payroll operations, employee engagement, and organizational accountability.The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and possess the ability to balance people-first leadership with operational execution.Job Responsibilities and Duties:Support the Executive Director in the daily operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth and efficient HR processes.Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and performance management.Administer 401(k) plans, including enrollments, updates, and communication with plan providers.Manage group insurance programs for health, dental, and vision, ensuring accurate enrollment and administration.Monitor OSHA compliance and maintain workplace safety programs across all facilities.Provide guidance and training to facility HR and management teams on wage and hour laws, employment policies, and labor regulations.Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure consistency and compliance.Maintain personnel records, employee files, and confidential HR documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations.Lead or participate in investigations related to employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.Conduct regular visits to facilities (up to 70% travel) to support training, audits, and safety meetings.Collaborate with facility leadership on recruitment strategies and retention initiatives.Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, including EEOC, FMLA, HIPAA, and ADA.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly desired.One to three years of HR experience required.Experience working in long-term care, nursing homes, or healthcare environments preferred.Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Microsoft Access a plus.Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments efficiently.Proven professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels.Previous experience in 401(k) administration preferred.Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time to visit facilities across the region.Benefits:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceDisability InsuranceVision InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program401(k)Life InsurancePaid Time OffAdditional Benefits:Telemedicine: $0 co-pay for telemedicine appointments, providing easy access to medical consultations from the comfort of your home.Unlimited Assistance: Receive unlimited support for legal, financial, childcare, elder care, and more—designed to support your personal and family well-being.Mayo Clinic Programs: Access exclusive programs from the Mayo Clinic, including resources for workouts, lifestyle, mental health, and diet to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle.These additional benefits are available to you without reducing your take-home pay!We only accept resumes and applications submitted directly through our Applicant Tracking System for posted positions.
