This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationship with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.Position Summary:Under the supervision of the Director of Nurses, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct care to residents in a 24 hour operation, primarily for their activities of daily living, assistance with therapeutic activities program, restorative programs, documentation as required by the facility.Accountabilities:Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, positioning, toileting, bathing, and exercising.Assists residents in and out of bed or wheelchair with proper transfer equipment.Records vital signs, nourishment logs, and other patient records as necessary.Maintain, organize, and fully stock the bedside unit.Change linen, make beds, and keep resident rooms tidy.Responds to all call lights promptly.Assists in assuring the maximum quality of life for all residents by maintaining privacy, accommodating individual preference, promoting independence, encouraging and assisting participation in facility activities and events, and communicates respectfully at all times.Maintains continuous communication with team leader.Full Time Benefits (30+ hours a week):Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSAShort Term Disability, Accident, Life InsuranceVacation and Sick time403B Retirement Savings Plan with discretionary employer contributionEmployee Assistance ProgramDiscount Meal Program
