Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Engineer/Senior/Principal)Company: AcceleratedPMJob Type: Full-timeJob Location: Greenville, SC/Houston, TXWork Schedule: Full time on-sitePosition OverviewAcceleratedPM is seeking Mechanical Engineers across multiple experience levels (Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Principal Engineer) to support large-scale industrial and EPC projects. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, design, analysis, and execution of process and mechanical systems throughout all phases of project delivery, from conceptual design through construction and startup.Depending on experience level, candidates may serve as individual contributors or provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight to engineering teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and coordinate process and mechanical engineering activities for multidisciplinary projects.Support engineering design efforts from initial planning through construction and startup.Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, and technical documents.Support development and review of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).Develop and review designs related to mechanical systems, equipment design, water and waste systems, and process systems.Generate and review design evaluations, calculations, and specifications for technical accuracy.Support estimating, specification development, and construction document preparation.Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and construction personnel.Support construction activities, including design clarification and field support.Ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and quality standards.Additional Responsibilities (Senior/Principal Levels)Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.Conduct construction document and design reviews.Lead discipline-specific project activities and coordinate technical deliverables.Support project planning, scheduling, and execution activities.Provide technical direction and resolve complex engineering challenges.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.U.S. Citizenship required.Experience levels: Engineer: 5+ years, Senior Engineer: 10+ years, Principal Engineer: 15+ years.Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, energy, or EPC projects.Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Familiarity with computer-aided drafting and design applications.Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Experience supporting DOE or other federal projects.Experience in highly regulated industrial environments.Practical field and construction support experience.Experience with mechanical and process system design, equipment design and specification development, P&ID development and review, and construction document preparation Nuclear project experience is a plus.Ideal BackgroundsCandidates with experience in the following industries are strongly encouraged to apply:Nuclear Energy Industrial Manufacturing EPC Projects Energy Infrastructure Process Facilities Government/DOE ProjectsSalary: $162,000 to $245,000 per year, depending on experience.Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), health and dental insurance, and PTO for W2 employees.
