The position is located in Simsbury, CT.Responsibilities:The Development Technician provides support for environmental and functional testing of EBAD products, test lab capability growth, inventory and technical problem solving in the following areas:Equipment: Equipment Calibration Equipment Preventative Maintenance Equipment Troubleshooting Equipment RepairInstrumentation: Accelerometers Charge Amplifiers & Signal Conditioners Thermocouples OscilloscopesOther: Test Process Creation/Review Inventory Ownership Area Ownership Training AuditsRequirements:High School Diploma (Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred) Skills:Strong Mechanical Aptitude Hand/Power Tools Technical Problem Solving Written and Verbal Communication Skills Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration Microsoft Office Programs Desired Skills:Familiarity with Data Acquisition & Software (LabVIEW, Vibration Research) Experience using Oscilloscopes Mechanical Design (SolidWorks) Preferred Background Knowledge:Environmental Testing (Climatics, Dynamics, etc.) Instrumentation (Accelerometers, Signal Conditioners, Thermocouples, etc.)Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Companyis an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
