Assembler

Essential Functions: Perform production tasks per training in the following areas: cables/cable assemblies, swannecks, water coolers, air-cooled MIG guns, and basic brazing, basic machine shop operations. Read and interpret job order documentation and related assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications. During and after assembly, inspect work for conformity to quality standards and job order documentation. Test assembled products to ensure functionality and performance. On job completion, complete and distribute job and test documentation according to company procedure. Follow all safety precautions when using tools, machinery, and chemicals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Rotate within different production areas as needed to meet fluctuating demands. Report on issues, malfunctions, and defective parts. Work with other team members to increase efficiency and performance. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks as necessary under the direction and supervision of the Production Manager. Assist with training of other employees. Perform material handling and equipment maintenance tasks as needed. Package and prepare products for shipping. Qualifications: Basic arithmetic ability and counting skills. Ability to read and understand order documentation, work instructions, drawings, and specifications. Writing skills sufficient to complete job-processing documentation accurately and legibly. Ability to make accurate measurements, including metric measurements. Visual ability sufficient to perform tasks accurately, safely, and efficiently. Good communication skills. Capable of performing all the above essential functions safely in a variety of working positions including standing and sitting for extended periods. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds safely without assistance, and capable of pulling/pushing approx. 40 pounds. Manual dexterity, good mechanical aptitude. Basic understanding of quality control principles. Willingness to comply with all company policies and procedures. Positive attitude, making necessary changes to ensure continuous improvement. Ability to remain focused and complete tasks on time. Self-motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision. Punctual and reliable. Means of transportation to and from work.
