Empire - Assistant General Manager
Brief DescriptionAs the Assistant General Manager, a typical day might include the following:Managing operations during scheduled shifts that include daily decision making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanlinessDirectly supporting the General Manager, acting in the GM's absence when neededMaintaining an accurate and up to date manpower plan of FOH staffing needsIdentifying operational opportunities to build sales and control costs; develop and implement plans to address opportunitiesExhibit high performance standards and ensure all FOH team members are providing exceptional service to patronsPerform night check outs and auditsInvestigate and resolve service/food quality concernsMaintain safe, secure and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systemsOther duties to be assigned based on venues requirementsSupervisory Responsibilities:Staffing, training and developing FOH hourly employees through orientations, ongoing feedback, establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews on a regular basisProvide a positive, fun working environment for associatesRequirementsThis job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:Minimum of 2 years' upper level management experience in a full food and beverage, high volume upscale and/or club environment requiredMust be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background checkValid TIPS or other recognized Alcohol Certification is requiredHigh School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferredExemplary customer service skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to work well with people internally and externally at all levelsSolid planning, organizing and scheduling abilitiesStrong team building skills with emphasis on development and ability to think outside the boxAbility to create enthusiasm, demonstrate innovation and encourage growth and learning in othersWork hours necessary to maintain facility Physical Demands / Work Environment / HoursThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
