Quality Technician

Job Title: Quality Technician Location: Colorado Springs, CO Duration: 22-month contract Job Description: Perform mechanical inspection of precision-machined components. Operate CMM (Optical and Touch Probe), interferometry, laser micrometer, and other advanced metrology equipment. Conduct calibrations of metrology equipment. Support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes related to client Non-Conformance Reports, ensuring thorough documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Prior work experience in a QC and manufacturing environment is essential. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Lean principles, CAPA, root cause investigation, Kaizen (continuous improvement / PDCA). Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or FDA certifications. Experience with advanced metrology, including: Programmable optical measurement tools (optical CMM) Keyence Image Measurement System Interferometers for surface finish and form analysis Laser micrometer
