Senior Accountant

This a New York City based position with four days a week in office required.Aimé Leon Dore is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Queens, New York. This position will partner with the finance team to support system and process improvement, prepare combined financial statements, and executing financial close and reporting processes.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of combined financial statements including the Balance Sheet, Statement of Income, Statement of Changes in Stockholders’ Equity and Statement of Cash FlowsAssist monthly close process and ensure it is completed in a timely manner with the proper accruals and other journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset and depreciation reconciliations, reporting and account review and analysis (such as cost of goods sold, inventory, sg&a)Support in budgeting and tracking processes Assist with cash flow projections for valuation modelRun ad-hoc financial reports, budgets and other analysis including project-specific profitability, accounts payable aging and accounts receivable agingSupport leadership in completing special projects and analysis requestsAssist in the review of daily transactions including general ledger and bank entriesWork with various internal departments and external parties to ensure that all activity is recorded in the general ledger in a timely matter QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration4+ years of related experience in corporate accounting or bookkeepingExperience at a high-growth company preferredProficiency with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) and Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of GAAP, accounting principles and proceduresAbility to self-start, roll-up the sleeves and prioritize in a fast-paced environment High degree of accuracy and keen attention to detailStrong oral and written communication skillsSalary Range: $90,000-$100,000Aimé Leon Dore is from Queens, NY.
