Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller and Finance leadership team to help manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting across several entities. This individual will play a key role in month-end close, reconciliations, operational accounting, budgeting support, and maintaining strong internal controls. Client Details Rapidly growing, hospitality-focused organization with a diverse portfolio across New York City, including upscale food & beverage concepts, wellness and lifestyle spaces, creative venues, membership experiences, and multi-unit operations. Description Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and account reconciliations Maintain balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation Support month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities Manage and oversee AP, AR, cash activity, and bank reconciliations Review and reconcile revenue reporting from POS and operational systems Support accounting operations for hospitality, food & beverage, wellness, and related business units Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and KPI reporting Support sales tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting Ensure financial records are accurate and maintained in accordance with GAAP and internal controls Profile Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of accounting experience, ideally within hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or multi-location operations Strong understanding of GAAP and operational accounting principles Experience supporting multiple entities or locations preferred Advanced Excel skills Familiarity with accounting software, payroll systems, and hospitality POS platforms CPA or CPA-track preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Collaborative and proactive with a problem-solving mindset Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Operates with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Job Offer Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match PTO and paid holidays Wellness-related benefits Life and supplemental insurance options Strong opportunity for long-term growth within an expanding organization MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
