What started as a YouTube channel has evolved into a broader platform focused on thoughtful, engaging, and high-quality storytelling.We are now looking for a Video Editor who is highly proficient in DaVinci Resolve and understands both narrative-driven YouTube content and platform-native short-form storytelling.The OpportunityThis is not a high-volume, low-quality editing role.We Are Looking For An Editor Who Can BalanceStrong storytelling and pacingModern social media instinctsTasteful, intentional editing (not over-edited or gimmicky)Important: This role is built entirely around DaVinci Resolve workflows — candidates must be fully comfortable operating at a high level within Resolve.What You’ll OwnLong-Form YouTube ContentEdit 1-3 high-quality YouTube videos per weekShape narrative flow, pacing, and structureEnsure content is engaging, cohesive, and aligned with the brand voiceShort-Form Content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)Create 1-3 minute vertical editsBuild and maintain a backlog for daily postingOptimize edits per platform (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts)Creative ContributionIdentify and enhance storytelling momentsSuggest improvements in pacing, structure, and deliveryApply trends thoughtfully without over-editingCollaboration & WorkflowWork within remote editing systems (Slack, Frame.io, LucidLink)Manage large media files efficientlyCommunicate clearly and consistently with the teamEditing Style Expectations Not cinematic/film-styleNot hyperactive “MrBeast-style”Instead:CleanIntentionalStory-firstSocial-nativeYou should understand how to retain attention without overwhelming the viewer.RequirementsTechnical (Non-Negotiable) 2+ years of professional editing experience using DaVinci ResolveMust be fully comfortable editing end-to-end projects in Resolve (not just basic cuts)Strong understanding of:Timelines, nodes, color workflows, and exports within ResolveMust be using an Apple Silicon Mac (M1/M2/M3 or newer)High-speed internet for large file transfersCreative & Strategic Strong understanding of:YouTube retention and pacingShort-form engagement dynamicsAbility to:Build a compelling narrative arcEdit with personality and tasteBalance creativity with restraintSoft SkillsDetail-oriented and organizedStrong communicator (clear, proactive, honest)Open to feedback and iterationReliable in a remote environmentNice-to-HaveMotion graphics/design experience (especially inside Resolve)Familiarity with tech content (AI, gadgets, cameras, etc.)Multimedia or communications backgroundGrowth & DevelopmentFor The Right Candidate, There Will Be Opportunities ForSkill development and continued learningIncreased creative ownershipLong-term growth within the brand
