More than 2,500 team members at more than 70 Tidelands Health locations bring our healing mission to life each day.A Brief OverviewThe Student Program Specialist will support the growth of the Student and Volunteer Program through the facilitation and assistance of programs with students, faculty, and community members on and offsite. While supporting K-12 experiences, events, and programs, including scholarship and workforce-development programs, that provide an educational pathway that connects to the workforce. The Student Program Specialist will engage with students to assist with the talent pipeline for future needs, including support on the front and back end of operations. The specialist will assist with document maintenance and engage with students and volunteers to facilitate the onboarding process and provide guidance to ensure a successful experience onsite.What You Will DoCoordinate student/volunteer education rotations, onsite experiences, and related events (onsite/offsite)Onboard and orient students and volunteers; ensure readiness for placementsMaintain clinical affiliation agreements, insurance documents, and related compliance recordsTrack and maintain accurate records for student and volunteer participationConduct system-wide volunteer needs assessments and match opportunities with students/volunteersBuild and manage partnerships with educational institutions, including staff tuition-discount collaborationsEngage community partners and represent the organization at community outreach eventsSupport recruitment and retention efforts for students and volunteersDevelop and maintain relationships with K–12 educators to promote healthcare careers and organizational partnershipSupport scholarship and workforce-development programs and assist with general HR department activities as neededEducation QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Required Experience Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or volunteer coordination Required Skills And AbilitiesAbility to work effectively and collaboratively with students, colleagues, community members Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently on assigned projects to completion Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Must have reliable transportation Physical DemandLight-Medium Physical DemandThe intent of this job description is to provide a representative and level of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of positions given this title and shall not be construed as a contract for employment nor a declaration of the total of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
