What You Will Do: TheSeniorSupplierQualityEngineerManagerwillleadandoverseetheSupplierQualityEngineeringfunctionwithinanAS9100Dcertifiedaerospaceorganization,ensuringthatallsupplierprocesses,materials,andproductsmeetthehigheststandardsofquality,compliance,andperformance.Thisroleiscriticaltoestablishingandmaintainingrobustsupplierpartnerships,drivingcontinuousimprovementinitiatives,andensuringtheseamlessintegrationofsuppliercomponentsintoaerospaceprograms.KeyResponsibilities StrategicSupplierQualityLeadership:LeadateamofSupplierQualityEngineers,managingactivitiesacrossmultiplesupplierstoensurecompliancewithAS9100D,FAA,andcustomer-specificrequirements.SupplierQualification&Audits:Conductandoverseesupplierassessments,audits,andqualificationactivitiestoensurealignmentwithorganizationalqualityexpectations,regulatorystandards,andaerospaceindustrybestpractices.ProblemSolving&CorrectiveActions:Leadrootcauseanalysis,problemresolution,andcorrective/preventiveactions(CAPA)forsupplier-relatedqualityissues,ensuringtimelyandeffectiveresolution.ContinuousImprovement:Developandimplementsupplierperformancemetrics,KPIs,andimprovementplanstoenhancereliability,cost-effectiveness,anddeliveryperformancewhilereducingnon-conformancerates.Cross-FunctionalCollaboration:Partnerwithdesign,manufacturing,procurement,andprogrammanagementteamstoidentifyrisks,mitigatesupplierqualityissues,andsupportsuccessfulprogramdeliveries.Documentation&Compliance:Ensuresupplierdocumentation,inspectionrecords,andqualityreportsmeetAS9100D,internalpolicies,andcustomerrequirements.Training&Development:Mentoranddevelopahigh-performingSupplierQualityEngineeringteam,fosteringacultureofquality,accountability,andinnovation.PreferredQualifications Bachelor'sdegreeinEngineering,Aerospace,Mechanical,orrelatedtechnicalfield;Master'spreferred.Experienced in supplier quality engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably in aerospace.StrongknowledgeofAS9100D andaerospacequalitystandards.Provenexperiencewithsupplieraudits,supplierdevelopment,riskmanagement,andproblem-solvingmethodologiessuchas8D,FMEA,androotcauseanalysis.Excellentleadership,interpersonal,andcommunicationskills.Proficiencyinqualitymanagementsystems(QMS)andERPsoftware.ExperiencewithLean,SixSigma,orsimilarcontinuousimprovementmethodologies.CertificationsuchasCertifiedQualityEngineer(CQE)orSupplierQualityProfessional(SQP).Experienceincomplexaerospaceprogramsorhigh-mix,high-volumemanufacturingenvironments.KeyCompetencies LeadershipandteamdevelopmentAnalyticalthinkingandstrategicproblem-solvingStrongattentiontodetailandprocessdisciplineEffectivestakeholdercommunicationandnegotiationskillsProactiveriskidentificationandmitigationWorkEnvironment Thisroleprimarilyoperatesinanofficeenvironmentbutwillrequireonsitevisitstosuppliersforaudits,inspections,andperformanceevaluations.Travel:Approximately20-30%,dependingonsupplierlocationsandprojectneeds.Salary RangePlease note the typical hiring range is $149,000 - $201,000 annually.
