Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Starting IV Foley insertion/Management NGT insertion/Management Colostomy System Exchange Drain Management (JP, Hemovac, Wound Vac, Accordion Drains) Description: CONTRACT - RN - MED SURG - 13 WEEKS - 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM No call required. Unit has 20 beds with a staff of 33. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 PCTs on both day and night shifts. Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 5-6 patients. Equipment used includes wound vacs, tracheostomy supplies, suction devices, IV pumps, and EMR Meditech. Candidates must have experience in starting IVs and managing Foley catheters, NGTs, and colostomy systems. Experience with drain management and trauma cases is preferred. The ideal candidate is a team player and compassionate. Dress code includes galaxy blue, black, or grey scrubs and prohibits visible tattoos. Unit follows trauma and geriatric standards of care.
