Description
We are seeking an Embedded Software Developer / Reverse Engineer to support advanced engineering initiatives focused on network-based devices. In this role, you will design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate software solutions that address complex technical challenges in dynamic environments.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver high-impact capabilities. This position requires strong reverse engineering expertise, low-level programming skills, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving technical environments.
Responsibilities
Augment and enhance existing software toolsets
Derive, document, and analyze technical requirements
Build prototypes to validate system and operational requirements
Develop deployable software solutions that operate within defined constraints
Test and oversee testing efforts to prepare solutions for release
Provide ongoing support for deployed software systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions
Skills Requirements
Strong familiarity with Unix-based systems
Experience reverse engineering Linux-based network devices
In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and network traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
Experience developing and modifying software systems in C, C++, Python, and Assembly
Experience supporting production software systems
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and Subversion
Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
Experience developing advanced network-focused software capabilities
Nice to Haves
Experience reverse engineering Windows or embedded platforms (RTOS)
Experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust
Experience developing software across Linux, Windows, or embedded environments
Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development
Knowledge of large-scale signal collection and analysis systems
Compensation & Employment Policy
Salary is determined by multiple factors, including location, education, experience, skills, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $200,000 – $250,000 (annualized USD).
