Field Support Specialist - West Region

The Field Support Specialist (FSS) plays a critical role in driving that success by ensuring new centers open in full alignment with the Mathnasium Method and core business systems. Through hands-on consultation, training, and ongoing support, this role accelerates time to profitability and sets the standard for operational excellence from day one.Role OverviewThe Field Support Specialist serves as a key partner to franchisees during the new center opening process, acting as the bridge between franchisees and the corporate training team. This role leads centers from pre-opening through grand opening, providing the structure, training, and support needed to establish strong operational and financial foundations.This is a primarily remote role; however, it requires approximately 50% travel throughout the year to support new center openings and on-site franchisee needs.Candidates with current or prior Mathnasium experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as familiarity with the business model and systems provides a meaningful advantage in ramping quickly and driving success in the role.The FSS also plays an important role in shaping the long-term franchisee experience by building strong relationships and ensuring a smooth transition to the Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) for ongoing support.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end new center opening process, from initial setup through soft and grand openingEquip franchisees with the tools, training, and best practices needed to launch successfully and operate in alignment with the Mathnasium modelPartner with franchisees to establish clear, measurable (SMART) goals for center performance and growthCollaborate with Marketing to execute localized strategies that drive awareness and accelerate early revenueMonitor progress toward key performance indicators and provide proactive coaching to support early-stage successCommunicate insights, opportunities, and progress updates to franchisees, FBCs, and internal leadershipBuild strong, trust-based relationships with franchisees and cross-functional teamsManage travel and expenses responsibly in alignment with company guidelinesCore CapabilitiesAbility to lead, influence, and inspire franchiseesStrong operational mindset with a focus on systems, compliance, and process improvementEffective cross-functional collaboration and organizational awarenessSkilled in business consulting and performance coachingResults-driven with strong goal-setting and execution skillsBrand ambassador with a commitment to maintaining Mathnasium standardsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directedProfessional, accountable, and adaptableRequired Qualifications3+ years of experience working with franchisees or in a consultative business roleDemonstrated ability to influence and guide business owners toward performance goalsStrong communication skills, including active listening, written, and verbalHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelySelf-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree (Education, Math, or related field preferred)Prior or current experience with Mathnasium strongly preferredBackground in math education or a passion for math learningAlignment with Mathnasium’s mission and a desire to positively impact students, families, and communitiesAbout MathnasiumMathnasium is a math learning center dedicated to helping students understand, master, and enjoy math.
