Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry Services - Winston-Salem, NCPosition DetailsMedical Director, 0.9 FTE clinical, 0.1 FTE administrative Leadership of inpatient behavioral health services, including 50-bed adult units and CL services Day shift, Monday - Friday, plus call rotation Adult inpatient unit Provide program leadership and oversight of all care provided in Behavioral Health, Psychiatric Services, and psychiatric hospitalist/consultation services Represent Psychiatric Services to hospital administration and participate in administrative meetings Participate in community-related partnerships Act as liaison with Medical Staff to facilitate timely transitions in care Facilitate timely consult liaison services for acute care consultations Serve as role model and liaison with psychiatric providers, including distribution of workload and call schedule Complete daily rounding and timely documentation on assigned patients Oversee creation, development, and implementation of policies and procedures for hospital-based psychiatric services Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team (providers, nursing, therapy, support staff) Provide clinical oversight for hospital-employed independently licensed mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, etc.), including crisis hotline, mobile crisis, mobile assessment, telehealth, and assessment center services Act as primary supervising physician for psychiatric hospital-employed APP staff Benefits DetailsComprehensive medical and retirement benefits Paid leave benefits Malpractice coverage Emphasis on work-life balance Full time, EmployedRelocation allowance Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance QualificationsBoard-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry Current medical license 5 years of experience post-residency Leadership experience preferred Community DetailsExperience the welcoming charm and rich heritage of Winston-Salem, NC, a city that blends historic character with modern amenities.
