Module Bracket Design Release Engineer

Job Description The Module Bracket Design Release Engineer is responsible for developing robust mechanical attachment solutions for electrical modules and battery systems within vehicle programs. This role focuses on designing, developing, validating, and releasing bracket components while ensuring proper integration within the overall vehicle architecture. The engineer collaborates cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and mass-efficient designs that support vehicle production and launch activities.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure bracket designs are robustly integrated within the vehicle architecture while meeting quality, durability, packaging, and manufacturability requirementsOwn the Bracket Statement of Requirements (SOR), component timing plans, issue tracking, and engineering change management activitiesDevelop and refine engineering designs for brackets and mounting systemsRelease components and related documentation for productionManage cost, quality, weight/mass, and performance targets for bracket componentsSupport virtual and physical pre-production build eventsProvide manufacturing plant launch support and assist with issue resolution during productionConduct benchmarking and trade-off studies to support innovation, optimization, and cost/benefit analysisCoordinate with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing, and program stakeholders to support overall engineering activitiesPresent project status, technical updates, and issue resolution plans to engineering leadership and program teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required)Minimum 3–5 years of engineering experienceExperience in mechanical design, component development, or release engineeringKnowledge of product development and engineering release processesExperience supporting prototype builds, production launches, and issue resolution activitiesStrong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skillsPreferred QualificationsAutomotive industry experienceExperience with bracket, structural, or mounting system designFamiliarity with CAD software and engineering drawing standardsKnowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, and manufacturing processesExperience working with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teamsCompany DescriptionWhy work at G-Tech?
