NC Programmer

Job Title: NC Programmer Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team. This role involves analyzing and interpreting various engineering documents to support our manufacturing processes effectively. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, and departmental procedures to perform assigned tasks. Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings to support manufacturing process planning. Serve as a process liaison for manufacturing operations, ensuring compatibility between MCAD models and 2D drawings. Develop, create, and maintain tooling and fixture definitions for manufacturing operations, accommodating both MCAD and manual legacy designs. Execute the creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions for Numerical Controlled (NC) equipment. Develop and maintain Loft MCAD models, flat patterns, and associated digital tooling programs. Demonstrate a solid understanding of NC Programming, Lofting, Engineering, Tool Design, and Manufacturing and Planning processes. Apply GD&T principles and aerospace tolerances to engineering projects. Support producibility assessments as needed. Maintain records and schedules for assigned work. Ensure compliance with company cost control standards, schedules, and quality requirements to maintain market competitiveness. Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as directed by management. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to interact with internal and external customers. Leverage extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge to train, direct, instruct, and validate Production Engineering work. Attend training sessions and complete competency-based testing to stay updated with technological advancements. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or eight (8) years of experience in the aircraft industry. Demonstrated capability to perform essential functions related to GD&T and aerospace tolerances.
