Type: Full-Time Direct HireJob Description:
Repairs, installs and performs preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure that such equipment is in good operable condition at all times. Uses electrical and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, install and perform preventive and interactive maintenance on all production equipment accessories to ensure that all equipment is in good operable condition at all times.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Install, operate, maintain, check, and trouble-shoot all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment. Install,
trouble-shoot, and repair solid state and electronic equipment as well as mechanical equipment.
2. Uses safe working practices and reports/repairs any hazard conditions at all times.
3. Inspects machines, takes any required test, and completes “all” reports and paperwork as required.
4. Perform PM and repair work in accordance with A.I.B. standards.
5. Diagnoses and employs proper procedure of troubleshooting to determine when parts need replacement and
when repairs are necessary.
6. Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles gearboxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pump, valve, and
mechanical equipment when directed.
7. Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles electrical motors, relays, timers, and allied electrical equipment.
8. Installs and repairs electrical conduit, cables, piping, tubing, controls, and grounding as directed.
9. Operates mobile lift trucks and hoisting in the performance of maintenance work. Possess knowledge of simple rigging when necessary for equipment moving and relocation.
10. Help maintain spare parts inventory for the plant.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent preferred.
Food/beverage processing or packaging environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of local, state and federal electric codes
Certified for PLC programming e.g., Allen Bradley or equivalent preferred.
Experience installing, programming and troubleshooting the following:
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
All types of AC and DC electrical and mechanical equipment.
Electrical conduit, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connections, controls and grounding.
Able to read and make proper installations of complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams.
Able to disassemble, repair and reassemble gear boxes, fans conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and all allied mechanical equipment related to electrical troubleshooting
Experience troubleshooting and repairing oven combustion and safety devices.
Possesses working knowledge of hydraulic, compressed air systems and be able to read complex diagrams and troubleshoot these systems
Experience Installing and repairing pneumatic conduit, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connections, controls and grounding.
Possess working knowledge of the following equipment:
MIG/TIG/ARC welding equipment.
Gas & Plasma cutting equipment
Power tools such as drill presses, cut off saw, lathes, mills, and table tools.
Electrical test equipment such as voltmeter, megger, ammeter, diode and SCR tester.

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
