Senior Front End Developer (React/Vue) (Glider)

Senior Front-End DeveloperLooking for a senior front-end developer in development of a modular, web-based platform for systematic review of scientific literature.This group within the client provides toxicology, safety assessment, risk assessment, exposure assessment, environmental modeling, and related support that address the full spectrum of potentially hazardous agents, including chemicals, microbes, and radionuclides. We specialize in identifying and quantifying the effects of environmental pollutants, such as metals, pesticides, and volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds, on human health and the environment.Key Responsibilities:• As lead front-end engineer, use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to develop user interfaces for a systematic review databaseStrong experience working with React and Vue• Implement Angular JS and data interchange formats (JSON & XML) to transfer data between database and client-side machine (read and write)• Fully test application for usability across multiple browsers• Take existing database concepts and expand functionality for web-based environmentBasic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree required• Must have experience writing high-performance, reusable, cross-browser JavaScript• 3+ years of demonstrated experience (including internships, temporary/contract positions) applying:Object oriented JavaScript version 1.5 – 1.8AngularJS JavaScript frameworkWeb technologies and techniques (HTML5, CSS, AJAX)Consuming restful web services client sideData interchange formats and technologies (JSON & XML); andKnowledge of CSS frameworks (SASS or LESS)Strong React and VuePreferred Skills/Experience:• Experience with science-related content, Git VCS, Amazon Web Services, Agile (SCRUM) highly desirable• Strong written and oral communication skills.• Presentation skills, including experience with presenting concepts to clients (both internal and external).• Strong outreach, organizational and self-motivation skills.• High level of attention to detail.• Demonstrated customer service orientation and outstanding level of professionalism.
