Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Jr. Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Jr. Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Sous Chef, CDC, and Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety, and leading a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Duties Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing ones. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including shift management and scheduling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations. Assist in special events as needed. Skills Proven experience in the culinary field with a focus on fine dining or catering. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling. Proficient in menu planning, inventory management, and cost control measures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the kitchen team. Experience with dietary department operations is a plus. Familiarity with bartending is an advantage but not required.
