The CFAO will be responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative functions, serving as a strategic leader in financial management, and driving organizational efficiency. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in nonprofit finance, including experience in managing large public sector grant portfolios. The CFAO will be a key partner in the development and implementation of financial strategies, budgeting processes, and long-term financial planning. Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in human resources and operations, ensuring that the organization's policies and procedures are in line with its mission and values. Applicants for the CFAO position at the company should have a passion for the organization's mission and values, a Bachelor's degree, and a CPA. A minimum of 10 years' experience in nonprofit finance, with at least 3 years in a CFO role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working effectively with senior leadership, Boards, and external partners, and will be adept at change management. Strong analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills are essential, as is the ability to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development. The CFAO should be a hands-on, data-driven leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences and leading the organization in its diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
