Director of Healthcare Acquisitions & Business Development
Lion Health System is acquiring and operating hospitals across the United States. We are seeking a highly driven, relationship-focused professional to source acquisition opportunities and build a pipeline of distressed, independent, and divesting hospitals.This is not an analyst role. We already have analysts. This role is for someone who knows how to get decision-makers on the phone, build trust over time, and surface opportunities before they reach the open market.What You’ll Do· Build relationships with hospital CEOs, CFOs, board chairs, and healthcare investment bankers· Identify distressed, divesting, or independent hospitals that fit our acquisition criteria· Lead outbound outreach through calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and follow-up· Proactively source new opportunities through cold calling, cold email, and targeted outreach to originate healthcare or real estate-related deals is a MUST· Track industry news, bankruptcy filings, and public notices to identify emerging opportunities· Maintain an active CRM pipeline with target hospitals, contacts, status, and next steps· Brief leadership on pipeline activity, new opportunities, and meetings in progress· Attend healthcare conferences and regional events to expand relationshipsWhat We’re Looking For· 3+ years of experience in healthcare business development, hospital relations, healthcare M&A advisory, real estate acquisitions, or a related field· Proven experience with cold calling, cold email, and outbound outreach to generate new business, acquisition opportunities, or deal flow (healthcare or real estate preferred)· Strong experience building relationships with hospital C-suite leaders or senior decision-makers· Excellent follow-through and the ability to manage long sales cycles over 12–18 months· Strong healthcare industry fluency and executive presence· Comfortable with high-volume outbound activity and consistent pipeline building· Organized, self-directed, and able to work independently· Existing relationships with hospital executives or healthcare bankers are a strong plus
