Invio Automation's Technologies division includes highly differentiated Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) for heavyweight applications, turnkey assembly lines, welding automation, and custom lift-assist & secure tools for safety critical applications.DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Mechanical Engineer engages with our customers and designs custom machinery in exciting markets that are primarily in the Medical Device market. Senior Mechanical Engineers are individuals who manage all aspects of the project from conceptual design to installation. These individuals are also responsible for major contributions to the design as they will manage the day-to-day detailed design advancement.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreate detailed concept sketches to refine proposed concepts. Proficient with SolidWorks. Able to create models of nests, overall system layouts, and complex station designsResponsible for design approval documents for system designConduct weekly design reviews with customers and provide minutes of meetingsResponsible for monitoring and managing customer requirements, costs, and deliveryMust be able to work concurrently on one or more projectsResponsible for project Bill of MaterialsWork with procurement to ensure all material deliveriesManage assembly priorities with production supervisorWork with Controls Engineers to ensure electrical and controls needs are met as requiredManage Designers and Detailers for specific projectReview and approve detailed drawing packages for productionProactively manage changes in project scope through ECOs and schedule changesOversee debug and testing phase to ensure all customer requirements are metOversee and perform FAT with customerEnsure proper shipment and installation of equipmentResponsible for delivery of all customer documentationQualifications:Advanced knowledge in machine design or build of products in the OEM vertical and having designed at least 5 automated systems. Knowledge must span from conceptual design through installation and service of the systems.10+ years of relevant design and project experience.Working knowledge of SolidWorks with a minimum of 3 years of experience.Experience in working with a project scheduling tool such as Microsoft Project.Prior success in establishing effective relationships and communications with Customers.Strong leadership, professionalism, communication, and project management skills.Other Skills and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareEDUCATIONA four-year degree in mechanical engineering required.INVIO AUTOMATION'S CORE VALUESWe take pride in the reliability of our team and the difficult problems we solve for customers.We deliver real customer value that positively impacts the lives of those around us.We are dependable.
