FT Accountant

This role plays a key part in overseeing the firm’s shadow accounting function, partnering closely with our third-party administrator, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of fund reporting. The position requires knowledge of accounting and we prefer 2-4 years experience within a public accounting firm, administrator, investment management firm or the accounting department in a mid-size or larger firm. A CPA or CPA candidate with previous work experience, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar degree is preferred. Core Responsibilities Collaborate with the fund administrator on shadow accounting, estimate preparation, month-end and quarterly NAV reviews Coordinate with external audit and tax advisors to support the preparation of the Fund’s annual financial statements and tax filings. Review all monthly items including operating expense schedules, month-end close packages, which contain financial statements and their supporting schedules and investor statements Facilitate process improvement and operational efficiency by leveraging technology, automation, and data tools—identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance controls, and elevate the overall quality and scalability of the accounting function Preferred Experience & Professional Skills Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience with accounting software, such as Sage Intaccct, Advent Geneva or other accounting software Advanced MS Excel knowledge and Alteryx user Relevant work experience with a public accounting firm, fund administrator, investment manager or accounting department for a mid-size or larger firm. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar degree with CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred Job Type: Full-time Compensation: $75,000 – 100,000 plus bonus Benefits 401(k) Health Insurance Paid time-off Parental leave Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm with extended hours on an as needed basis.
