Controls Technician (Data Center Commissioning)

Looking to connect Controls Technician to join a high-impact team dedicated to the commissioning and startup of mission-critical Data Center infrastructure. This is a project-based, onsite role focused on ensuring Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) are fully integrated and operational before facilities go live.This position is based locally in Dallas,TX and other locations Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to support consistent onsite operations.The Role: You WillSystem Integration: Support the installation and commissioning of the facility’s BMS and EPMS.Field Execution: Verify and troubleshoot control system I/O wiring and perform field calibration of instrumentation as required.Testing & Validation: Perform loop testing of device data points to ensure proper integration with the SCADA system, and conduct functional testing of systems comprising PLCs, HMIs, and third-party vendor systems.Data & Documentation: Use online tracking software (such as BIM360 and CxAlloy) and spreadsheets to document testing progress and results meticulously.Troubleshooting: Resolve complex issues including network connectivity, wiring faults, data point mapping, and general operational failures.Client Ambassadorship: Act as a professional representative onsite, prioritizing project success and collaborative teamwork.Qualifications: You HaveExperience: At least 3 years of experience in the field or a related automation area.Education: High school diploma (or equivalent); completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical training in a related specialty is preferred.Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of control system components, wiring, and networking.Resilience: Proven ability to perform excellently in high-pressure, stressful environments.Adaptability: Flexibility to work weekends or holidays when necessary to meet critical customer milestones.Communication: Strong conflict resolution skills and a focus on collaborative teamwork.Preferred Skills: You May HaveSoftware/Hardware: Hands-on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, Modbus/TCP, and OPC UA/DA.Industry Specifics: Experience with Building Management and HVAC control systems.Commissioning: Previous experience specifically in instrumentation calibration and startup phases
