Lead Data Center Technician (Bilingual Travel Required)

Lead Data Center TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Data Center Technician to oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mission-critical data center infrastructure. This role is responsible for leading field technicians, coordinating project activities, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), technically proficient, and willing to travel regularly to support project sites.Travel is required for this position.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise data center technicians on installation and service projectsInstall, terminate, label, and test structured cabling (fiber and copper)Oversee installation of racks, cabinets, containment systems, and network hardwarePerform troubleshooting and diagnostics on data center infrastructureRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and scope of work documentsEnsure compliance with safety standards and company policiesConduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standardsCoordinate with Project Managers, Foremen, and client representativesMaintain accurate documentation, reports, and test resultsTrain and mentor junior techniciansRequired Qualifications35+ years of experience in data center environments or structured cablingPrior leadership or lead technician experience preferredStrong knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling installation and testingAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsBilingual in English and Spanish (required)Willingness and ability to travel to various project sites (travel required)Strong communication and organizational skillsValid driver's license and reliable transportationPreferred QualificationsFiber certifications (e.g., FOA, BICSI, or equivalent)OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationExperience in mission-critical or hyperscale data center environmentsWork EnvironmentWork performed in active construction sites and operational data centersMay require extended hours, overtime, or weekend work depending on project timelinesTravel required (regional and/or national depending on company needs)
