Thermal Architect Thermal Engineering leads and delivers the development of innovative and compliant thermal design solutions, as well as cross-functional interfaces for computer systems and peripherals. Our team conducts the analysis, feasibility studies and testing of thermal products, instruments, subassemblies and packaging for new and existing products – and then oversees the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing organizations. What you'll achieve As a Thermal Architect, you'll be responsible for the development of compute and storage nodes supporting the Enterprise, AI, HPC, Telco and Cloud markets. You'll work with our global thermal, electrical and mechanical engineering community on cutting edge electronic cooling solutions. You will: Develop thermal architecture and concepts for new innovative air and liquid cooling concepts and establish feasibility Establish portfolio cooling strategies and lead junior thermal engineers Create cutting edge cooling innovations through new technology exploration and integration Collaborate with mechanical engineering for design tradeoffs in node-level air and liquid cooling solutions Ensure designs are manufacturable and highly reliable Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here's what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements 12+ years in a thermal engineering role to include experience with server cooling systems or equivalent skill Expertise in internal fluid dynamics and heat transfer Experience with analytical, numerical and experimental techniques for thermal system development Skilled at analyzing options and selecting critical design elements for product development Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate with and influence global teams Desirable Requirements: BS, MS or PhD in mechanical engineering or related field Compensation Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
