Job Description SummaryThe Assistant Controller for Technology & Operations at GE Aerospace plays a crucial role in ensuring that the company delivers accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial information to its internal and external stakeholders. This pivotal position supports the T&O Controller with operational and technical accounting matters, enhancing financial reporting systems and processes. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP standards, assisting in the preparation of quarterly filings, maintaining robust financial controls, and leading process simplification initiatives through Lean methodologies. Key Roles and Responsibilities:Provide detailed technical accounting guidance on key financial statement line items and disclosures such as inventory, capitalized assets, and operating expenses. Maintain proactive communication with Finance and FP&A teams to ensure timely understanding and forecasting of accounting impacts. Review T&O balance sheets aligning commentary with operational drivers across various sites, including manufacturing and engineering areas. Assist in preparing schedules and analyses to support the quarterly Financial Reporting Package (FRP). Collaborate with the T&O Controller on key strategic initiatives, focusing on reducing close cycle times and enhancing account reconciliation processes. Lead comprehensive reviews across sites, including impairment reviews and physical inventories. Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure continuity and compliance. Guarantee the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and swiftly address any deficiencies. Drive adherence to U.S. GAAP, GE GAP, and GE Aerospace SOPs across the organization. Promote the FLIGHT DECK initiative by applying Lean principles, developing standardized workflows, and utilizing structured problem-solving techniques. Support T&O in ERP or cross-business system implementations with a focus on controllership. Assist in integrating newly acquired or restructured sites into the T&O operations. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution. 8-10 years of experience in an accounting or finance role. Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant designation. Desired Qualifications:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and enact change swiftly. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven track record of delivering results within set timelines. Adept at anticipating challenges and facilitating effective resolutions. The base pay range for this position is $137,000.00 - 183,000.00 annually. Specific compensation may vary based on experience, education, and skill set. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of the base salary. This posting closes on 4/16/26.
