Job DescriptionHarrah's Cherokee Casino Resort Position DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Drop and Count StaffDEPARTMENT: FinanceGRADE/FLSA STATUS: H9 - Non-ExemptBADGE TYPE/COLOR: Key--BlueREPORTS TO: Drop & Count Supervisor SUPERVISES: NAJOB SUMMARY:Drops, slot machines, sorts, counts, and records the contents of slot and table game drop boxes, according to set procedures. Drop and Count of other cashiering functions such as NRT machines. JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and ValuesPerform daily slot machine dropsPerform daily Table CountProcess currency, ticket and coupon count for each machine included in the daily drop as prescribed by the Internal ControlsMaintain the count room, clean and organize for daily drop processingResponsible for the upkeep and basic maintenance of the G and D Count machine and other count equipmentResponsible for the upkeep and basic maintenance of the Mule including the daily charging of the unitPerform additional duties as assigned including, but not limited to NRT Drop and CountAble to work in environment requiring strong teamwork and communication skillsAble to answer questions about Harrah's facilities, services, promotions, and eventsAdhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED requiredSix months money handling experience preferredMust demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:Basic mechanical (repair) ability helpfulMust possess proven mathematical skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWilling to learn and to be adaptableNeat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygieneAttention to detail Ability to work independentlyPHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSMust be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip itemsMust be able to maneuver to all areas of the casinoMust be able to lift or carry upwards up to 50 poundsManual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, personal computers, fax machine and photo copierMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishMust be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situationsMust be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including second hand smokeMust be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidaysThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
