The Room Service Attendant position also is responsible for receiving, packaging, preparing and delivering Caesars Eats orders from a variety of food outlets on the property to the customer's location on property. This position is required to deliver excellent customer service as defined in the company's Family Style Service program.JOB ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and ValuesTake food orders, assist in preparation and packaging of food and beverage ordersServe or deliver orders to guest at their assigned location to include pool, hotel room or other on-property assigned locationAlert the necessary Manager if there are any guest issues, special needs situations, supplies and food items need to be replenished or other situations. Deliver orders to the specified room in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner, review the order for accuracy prior to leaving the roomDemonstrate proper etiquette and service procedures when serving all guestsAssist customers in ordering from the menu when applicable and record ordered items on check according to established proceduresCoordinate timing and efforts with the kitchen staff and ensure that all food products prepared meet the established specifications and standards prior to being servedService guest checks in order as dispatched from the Room Service CoordinatorEnsure accurate payment for the services renderedWork cooperatively with co-workers to ensure all orders are processed accurately and efficientlyNotify management of any guest complaints, alleged discrepancies and/or problems involving Room Service Caesars EatsSet up the Room Service carts as instructed and maintain throughout the shiftRecord all required information in the Room Service Attendants logbookAssist in the complete set-up, and operation of each scheduled shiftAssist in the routine inspections and monthly inventories of Room Service equipment, wares, flatware, linen, etc. to ensure proper storage and maintenanceComplete assigned side work as directedFamiliarize self with all items on printed menusUse good salesmanship for suggestive selling of menu items, beverages, desserts, etc.Assist Coordinator in taking orders and processing all open checks and ensure they are properly tendered and/or accounted for at end of shiftFamiliarize self and adhere to the principles of guest service skills, and use them in all interactionsConsistently demonstrate superior customer service skills by displaying outlined service behaviorsMaintain an upbeat and positive attitude, create an atmosphere of luck and positive energy with gestures and sustain enthusiasm from one interaction to the nextBuild relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greetingAnticipate needs and provide fast, flawless serviceCheck for satisfaction and effectively resolve service breakdowns when they existProvide a warm farewell and thank guests for visitingMaintain knowledge of casino and hotel services, as well as local attractions in order to answer questions and provide assistance to guestsMaintain knowledge of current menu items and pricing, how the items are prepared and what accompanies each mealMaintain a clean, organized work environment, with all supplies needed to execute Room Service dutiesParticipative member of the team by volunteering and being involved with projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestionsDeliver alcoholic beverages responsibly by adhering to proper liquor liability standardsHandle money according to procedureMonitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelinesFollow guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC BoardAdhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical mannerMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED requiredSix months prior food service experience preferredCARE certifiedMust demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:Legible handwritingBeverage and food service knowledgeAbility to carry food and beverages safely and professionallyMust be familiar with tray serviceAbility to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctlyExcellent customer service and communication skills requiredMust be able to complete cash and charge transactionsWilling to learn and be adaptableAttention to detail/observantDocumented teamwork behaviors and attitudesNeat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygienePHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:Must be able to carry and balance food service trayMust be able to attend to multiple priorities simultaneouslyMust be able to be on feet for 8-hour shiftMust be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grasp itemsMust be able to respond to visual aural cuesMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds constantlyMust be able to possess the manual dexterity to grip necessary items (glasses, pens, garnishments, money, etc.)Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop and twist when serving food and beveragesMust be able to read, write, speak and understand EnglishMust be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smokeMust be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
